When enabling 2 Factor Authentication for Office 365, iOS devices will often require a removal and re-addition of email account from the phone in order to sync the account. This applies to devices running iOS 11 and above.
Steps for removal:
- On your iOS device, tap to open the Settings app.
- Tap on Passwords & Accounts.
- Tap on your email account, commonly named Exchange.
- At the bottom, tap on Delete Account.
- You will be prompted to confirm the deletion. Although the data is being removed from your phone, your Mail, Contacts, Calendars, Reminders, and Notes are saved to your Office 365 account and will sync back to your phone when you re-add the account.
- Wait for the deletion to complete. When you are returned to the list of your accounts, you have successfully removed your Exchange account from your iOS device.
Steps for re-add:
- Upon successful deletion of your Exchange account, you will be returned to the list of your accounts. From this menu, tap on Add Account.
- Tap Exchange.
- Enter your Email credentials, tap Next, and when prompted, select Sign In.
- You will be sent a 2 Factor Authentication code via SMS Text Message or your secondary email. Enter this code.
- Tap Save. You have successfully added your Gamble account to your iOS device.
